This was an amazing show. The band was the tightest I've ever seen them and it was great to finally see them headlining again, as opposed to playing for 40 minutes as an opener, or having to suffer through Nickleback to hear them.
I've seen Chevelle all over New England, and the HOB (Avalon) is still the best venue for a show. Sound was excellent. Hard to remember the full set list in order, but, they played songs from every album, with the exception of Point #1, which was the only disappointment. I was sure they were coming back for an encor to play Point #1, but instead they played "You're Right". Everyone really got into it though, so, still no complaints.
Emotional Drought was a highlight for me, Another Know it All was amazing, The Clincher, Closure, everything was amazing. I might try to get down to Providence tomorrow to catch them again - if they're touring near you, go see this show!
I've been waiting to see Chevelle for almost eight years now, every opportunity I've had in the past just never worked out. I finally got the chance to make it to a show last night after promising myself if I was to see them, I would see them headline. The two hour wait in the cold was certainly worth it.
Janus opened the night off and presented a unique sound that I enjoyed quite a bit. Not a huge fan of the get-ups they wear on stage, but they sounded tight and put on a fun show.
Sick Puppies were enjoyable, albeit a little out of place at a Chevelle show. Then again, with Chevelle's unique style, I find it hard to find any band that fits in with them properly.
Chevelle took the stage just after ten and blew all of my expectations away. The band was very candid and seemed to having a great time on stage.
I have the setlist, which will follow, but the middle is not entirely in order. I know that I have every song they played, and I know the first five and last couple are 100% correct, but the middle is a bit blurry. If someone has a proper order, please feel free to correct...
