Reviews for this Album

Album is Awesome! Need to come down to HOB-Orlando!

Just traveled from Orlando to Jacksnville to the Carnival of Madness Tour to watch you guys and you guys rocked, as expected. Jacksonville blows but you guys would kick ass at HOB - Orlando. Do it!

This sound is rich, and truthfully amazing.
All the songs, are something different. A little taste of what their actually feelings, I'm amazed at how well it's all put together. I'm also stunned that they kept their band in the family, or at least tried too. I love this Album and everthing it's offered. There's nothing more I'd rather be doing then listening to any songs by Chevelle. You guys are doing a great job, hope you climb to the top! Thanks Chevelle, -kasey.

Hey guys, just wanna say i have most of your cds, cause as my username says YOU GUYS KICK ASS! I know you guys released Shameful Metaphors as a single like a month or two ago, just wondering if there was a music video in the works for that song anytime soon cause that is one of my favorite songs off the album.

Have only been listening to mostly rock music for a little over a year now. But I must say that when I ran across that live show that yall done in Norva I was AMAZED! I mean the music is great and the vox are just like you sound on the CD. I would NEVER go to a live rock concert because of all the people and I am not into moshing all that much. lol But I will pay my money this Sunday to see yall in person. I LOVE the music that yall have given us over the years. I just wish I was there from day one!!!!! Keep up the good work guys and dont be shocked if you see a Big Black Man tossing people around while yall Comfortable Liar, Forfeit, and MY FAVORITE Grab Thy Hand!!!!!

I got hooked to Chevelle just recently. not just attached to the music, but unusually addicted to it. Your music has changed many lives and inspired thousands. I'M INCLUDED!!! Pete Loeffler for President!

You guys need to play mexican sun more often. i'll be at the carnival of madness stop in OKC. Please Hook It UP. I love that song. -Bradical.

Boys! I hope you are well! I'm a fan of the music made from about four years ago when a friend told me about yours. Let me congratulate all the effort you put when making music ... are excellent! definitely blessed! I hope some have the happiness and fortune to listen to some live concert, but I think that is almost impossible, since I live in Latin America, specifically Venezuela and not whether the future will come over here .. hope to continue doing good music! loves them!

Yet another Great album! You CANNOT get tired of listening to Chevelle. I love you guys! My sister and I just saw you in Raleigh on July 25th, the hottest day yet of the summer! 103 degrees! You all made it hotter! 1st time seeing you live! I didn't think I could possibly love ya'll more, but you rocked it! I plan on seeing you every time you come to Raleigh!
Too bad I didn't know you all were at Fort Bragg on the 4th! Thank you for being there for the soldiers and their families. My husband and I are both prior Military and know how good it makes soldiers feel to be recognized for what they do for this country!
To all the service members, we love you!
To Chevelle, please make LOTS more albums! We are all waiting!
Oh and to the lady that didn't think the music was "appropriate" for the 4th of July celebration, go listen to some of your daughters other music, I'm sure you will hear a lot of foul language in half of her music albums. That is another thing I like about Chevelle, they don't use foul language and it's one of the few bands in this "genre" of music that I can blare with my 8 year old son in the truck with me!

Absalutely stellar album! Not a single song would I say was only okay, Chevelle is one hell of a well-rounded band I simply can't get enough! I will suggest this album to all my friends and family.

I have always been a fan of Chevelle and on the thoughts of the woman below...Ft. Bragg had a kiddie land for children. The purpose for concerts is so the adults can enjoy a Independence day celebration as well as families...I am a military spouse and my husband and I truly loved the concert and were so excited when we heard you guys were playing at Bragg bc we couldnt make your Carnival of Madness show later in the month in Raleigh....I believe it was fantastic of the band to be so considerate for the guy who was peppersprayed....y'all are an amazing group and this show will just keep me hooked as a fan forever! Thank you very much for the amazing concert!!!

God Bless

I am a Soldier serving in Iraq right now and though I didn't get to attend your concert at Bragg I still say thanx for being there cause you guys are so popular with us grunts. I WORK OUT EVERY TIME TO YOUR MUSIC! The new album is sick as s*** I rip my vocal chords screaming that s***!! I plan to see you in concert when I get home, as for the lady with the "genre" opinion THESE GUYS MAKE GOOD ASS MUSIC FOR GUYS LIKE ME TO ENJOY, ON THE 4TH I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO MOSH TO THEM, WHEREVER THEY WERE. Keep doing you thing fellas see you when I get home. ROCK!

BTW- my 4 year old daughter says....CHEVELL FREAKIN ROCKS!!!!!!

I'm a soldier in the mighty 82nd Airborne DIV! I just want to take this time to say, the concert last night was f***ing outstanding!! I appreciate you guys taking time to come and show your support! I also think that the MPs were a little out of line, of course I think most of the MPs are pricks anyway! I'm sure the MP that sprayed the guy last night was some little b**** that used to get his ass beat, because a normal man would have just grabbed him up, i mean really pepper spray? @ the post thinking the concert was not appropriate, I say this. If you think they should have seen more women and children, maybe you should look out and see more GIs! There were plenty of other things going on last night, and if you didn't want to be in the middle of the concert, you should have moved to on of the other attractions! I understand the celebration was for family members as well however, we the soldiers are the ones that make it possible for you to enjoy these events. So when you decide to criticize the people that come to support us, think again!! Once again CHEVELL THANK YOU!!! f*** ThE HaTeRs!!! AFG VET!!!

I am so impressed with what I saw last night at the Fort Bragg celebration. I have a new found admiration for Pete's amazing talent. To be able to sing and play guitar is not an easy feat and Pete you are phenomenal at it (and your voice is amazing!). I have always been a huge fan and this is the fist time I was able to see you guys live. Watching bands live doesn't usually live up to what they sound like on a record but your voices were dead on. I really am so impressed. I hope to be able to see you guys many more times. I am a forever fan. Oh yeah and thanks so much for supporting our troops!

You guys were awesome last night.......first actual concert I have ever been to and I loved it. Was great of you guys to sign autographs and take pics with all your fans. Loved you guys before but even more now after seeing you live........I am glad to see there are still supporters of our troops out there.....thank you for taking time out of your I'm sure busy lives to come and play for us. To Michelle's post............how dare you come on Chevelle's site and criticize them, they came to Ft Bragg in support of guys and gals like your husband and mine, and if you didn't think it was appropriate you should have stayed home........and they were correct with saying something about the pepper spray incident.....its a concert (rock concert) and people get a little excited.....MP's went a little far........so next time you want to complain about something just stay home!!!!!!! Thanks again Chevelle......................

Your CD helped me quit every drug I was doing. "Learn to choose to breathe and stitch your arm to me" worked wonders for me. This entire CD is full of really good song lines to get stuck in your head and heart Smiling

My 50 something year old brother recently purchased Sci-Fi Crimes, and Wonder What's Next, after having watched a Chevelle video on demand via cable t.v. He knows that I, his younger sister, am a great admirer of the band. I may be only 49, lol, but hey... even a younger sister can teach the old boy ' bout something, and Chevelle is definitely SOMETHING! My brother has a stellar opinion of, "Crimes", in addition to the older stuff. It is a pleasure to discuss the music with him. His thoughtful analysis of Chevelle's music, clearly defines verbally, that which makes this band so special, I think. He recently told me that, the next time I see Chevelle perform, I will have to settle for being just, "the second to the oldest fan at the concert". Yeah, it will be great to have him there. Chevelle is nothing less than the best. THE BEST. We both agree that Sci-Fi Crimes has an added dimension, perhaps it's maturity. There is no doubt that Chevelle is not stagnant, artistically, which is why I love them beyond compare. No artist ever wants to hear that, "... their earliest stuff was their best". Chevelle's early stuff is great, and their latest work is, while evolving, nothing less than great. Damn great!

As their name implies, Chevelle came on stage at the Bluenote in Columbia Missouri on June 16, 2010 in true strong rock fashion. Chevelle comes but once a year to the Bluenote it seems but, when they do it’s simply packed to the walls and above in the balconies. When the brother’s come you can find people flying through the air, drink orders filling the bars to the max and adults themselves crying in the corner with pure excitement and anticipation for the trio band to take the stage and rock their socks off. People crowd the stage, then without warning, the lights dim, the crowd roars and Chevelle takes the stage, vocalist Pete yells “I’m tired of your open mouth, crawling inside my skin, Endless pain we never quit!”
Chevelle rocked the stage of course, with the moving force that is Pete’s vocals and guitar, Sam’s amazing drums patterns and the brother from another mother of course, the brother-in-law Dean, with his crazy bass playing ways and past drumming experiences to boost. Chevelle likes to shatter the faces of crowds through face melting experiences and stage stomping routines with a little added mind blowing nicely timed screams in the lyrics. For Instance here, Pete yell’s the opening word to a song; “TOUCH!” from the band’s hit song “The Clincher” and all hell broke loose. People jumping up and down, arms in the air, heads bangers and air guitarist everywhere, a sight to see for sure. People had to move out of the way of the overly rambunctious “moshers” and “pushers” several times as the staff tried to break it up! Intensity was the word of the night at the Bluenote by far. The brothers played songs from the classics, “The Red” and “Vitamin R”, to “Letter from a thief”, “Sleep Apnea” and of course, the fan favorite “The Clincher”.
Slightly off topic here, some crazed individual(s) up front by the stage almost injured Pete from what it seemed! People in attendance were shocked to see the person(s) right below the stage watching the show drag his guitar away from him as he leaned in to get a little closer to the crowd and amp them up even more in the middle of one of their songs. Pete almost came off the stage with it as his guitar strap was still hooked to his body! The Bluenote staff on hand by the stage had to pry the expensive guitar out the culprit’s hands and away from the crazed individual(s). Almost another “Letter from a thief” insistence here everyone, only I’m sure they wouldn’t have mailed it back. His praised custom made guitar if the research and rumors are right, is somewhere between $5,000-$11,000 (just rumors on price). Also heard after the concert that Sam was spotted signing and doing photos with his beloved fans, Pete was not seen out afterwards to sign or do photos and I could see why from his perspective on this one. He could have been a little shooken up after this show and needed a rest. Guys, a.k.a. Chevelle, we all apologize for this act and what happened. The person(s) obviously doesn’t have enough respect to think twice before hand to not grab the guitar in the midst of you playing a song. It’s as if you need that to play or something? Real fans don’t do that, kids do, and I hope this doesn’t detour you from coming back to a place and people that I can see love the name Chevelle.
(I’ll be doing more Chevelle reviews when I get a chance, I wish I could see every concert on their amazing tour or even just a little more but sadly, we all must work. All In all, Chevelle rocked out and surely left the stage and faces of the crowd melted in pure awe. I didn’t get a chance or just call it being unlucky, to get any of the memorabilia that they always throw at the crowd at the end of their great performances. Someday I’ll be lucky enough to catch maybe even a pick or the always classic water bottle and get something signed or maybe even a picture with the guys someday to have on my wall. I just started playing guitar myself and Chevelle really inspires me to do so, with their get rifts and stage plays I too someday hope to learn myself. Keep rockin Pete, Sam and Dean, Keep rockin Chevelle…)

Have you seen your Chevelle concert Yet?

by Anthony Price on June 17, 2010

I was a little bummed you cancelled your show for the 22nd Billings MT. Luckily I'll be attending the Carnival of Madness in August. Dratsab is a word I use often for no one but me knows why I say it and what it means. I'm sure someone clever could easily figure it out.

For the 3rd time I've seen you all in concert, you all didn't disappoint. El Paso is extremely appreciative of your efforts and performances. It may have been hotter than hell at the Balloonfest but it was worth it. Please make your way down to the southwest again!! I hope you all enjoy it as much as we enjoy seeing, hearing, and feeling your songs. I'm an high school English teacher and I saw ALOT of my students at the concert so I had to hide so they couldn't see me rock on but at least I know thanks to your music, lyrics, and influence, I have something in common with my students. p.s.I do play your songs to the class while I'm taking attendance!!

You don't have your Point#1 listed on myplay either, is that no longer allowed in your discography? I listen to myplay at work b/c I am registered with them and I have my playlists there for access but missing my 1st album and I can't add it from my collection at home. Get that on there somehow. I just saw that you guys are making a stop in Edmonton on your tour! You're one of my favourite bands that I have yet to see in concert. Unfortunately I'm leaving for Australia right before you hit Alberta.
You guys should definitely make your way back to B.C or Alberta after the Fall!

The new album is freaken awesome. I am a big fan. I really wish you guys could come to South Africa. Keep rockin.
