Charter One has great sound especially for an open venue.
Your set was "scratchy" and kinda ruined it for us. You have so many great jams too.
Either you need better equipment or a new sound technician or maybe it was an issue with Charter One.
I hope to see you again under better circumstances.

I am hardly a professional photographer, but that is an amazing shot of Pete. Great back light streaming in and perfect white light out front. The perfect time to take pics. I tried getting my Nikon D-90 in on Friday the 13th at the Mo State Fair in Sedalia but no luck. I am a 49 year old veteran of over 800 shows to my credit. I have been so captivated by Chevelle for the last six years or better, that it is a dream of mine, to get up front and snap some pics of a band that puts on the most devastating assault of a live show that I have seen in a long time. I have never sold one of my pictures in my life and have a small fortune in 8 X 10 glossy's that I have taken since my teens. Bands like Kiss, Aerosmith, Rush Ted Nugent, Van Halen and the list goes on. I have only one prfofessional band to my credit in the last 20 years that I shot live and that was King's X in Sioux Falls, SD in 2009. I was lucky enough to see bassist Doug Pinnick early before the show and asked his permission. He said take all the pics you want. I seen Chevelle in Sioux Falls in November of 2009 but was not lucky in ruuning into the band to ask permission. What a dream it would be to be able to take some killer pics of them and copy the file and just present it to the band, my compliments of course!
As for as the Sedalia show goes, Chevelle must of had a hunch of some kind that Shinedown was not going to be able to perform as headliners that night because of weather. They came out on what had to be as hot and humid of an evening as possible, and just cranked out a 45 minute set that sent
the pro Shinedown crowd into a frenzy. I could not believe how killer the sound was. It was a headliner quality set, minus 45 minutes or so of less music but maybe it was just as well Shinedown didn't go on. The crowd was just unbelievable and was left with as good as an impression as a band could have delivered along with an unforgettable blow to the eardrums. What a cranker this show was. Sitting in ninth row didn't hurt either. This was my 8th time seeing them and they couldn't have sounded better.
Pete, Sam, and Dean, thank you for a memorable time in Sedalia. Hope to see you in St. Louis at The Pagaent hopefully to do a headlining set. You guys have not played a headline gig in the Lou since Vena Sera. And you guys know how the Pageant cranks, and you sell it out eveyrtime. Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters called it the best room to play in the USA. Please come to headline St. Lou after the Carnival Tour.

THE CAR TOO!
