Chevelle is and has been one of my favorite bands ever since i first heared them. They have so many good songs like the red, vitamin r, and send the pain below. This song definately makes top five. I live close to where these guys grew up and my older cousin actually met them. Lucky guy. I hope i get the chance to see them in concert.

One thing about the above posted lyrics, a couple words are slightly off. Like; "steals" should be "stole" and it seems to me like he's replaced "Put" into Jars with "I'm" into Jars, although that one I'm not 100% certain on.

Ok, we finally have a new song, which I'm not complaining about, but did they say that Sci-Fi Crimes is coming out in SEPTEMBER!?! I've literally been waiting for 4 or 5 months, ever since I heard word of a new cd. I've been checking nearly every week for a release date or single at least. At first I thought it said the album was coming out in early spring. Then I thought Sam said something about August. Now it's freakin' September! I'm like dying with anticipation. I thought I was going to relax and enjoy my summer listening to my new Chevelle cd, but I guess that's not happening. I mean I still love them and I'm looking forward to the new album, but I just need to vent I guess cuz it seems so far away.

Where are the Forums on the new site? Also, does Chevelle have an official merchandise site? I see that getsomemerch.com has been taken over...

The song is really catchy, but it's almost a tad bit too radio-friendly for me. That's to expect, though, since it is a single. I REALLY can't wait for Letter From a Thief. That song is going to be killer, fa sho.

I'll be truthfull.The lyrics were catchy,but the melody wasnt so great.The rest of the song reminded me of the album This type of thinking.Which was great for me,I loved that album.Also I think the song was about the oil field and how gas prices go up and up.I also think it has some insporation of global warming.Thats just me.Keep it up CheVelle.Can't wait for the next album.When is the release date any way?Great song.

This song has some great elements, lyrics are extremely creative, bass sounds nasty and the vocals by Pete are right on the mark. In my book this is probably their best single yet. Sci-Fi Crimes is gonna kick ass if it can keep up with Jars. Nice work and God Bless

I know it hasn't been too incredibly long since Vena Sera so the wait hasn't been too bad, but nonetheless, "Jars" delivers and continues to show the hard work and passion you put into your music. I'm from Jackson, MS, and caught the show here back in April. Great stuff...the louder the better! Can't wait until you guys come back down this way! Oh, and I just spent a couple of weeks in Africa, and out of all the music in my MP3 player, Chevelle was the most listened-to. It's beautiful over there, and your music managed to capture a lot of what I felt during my travels. Thanx and God Bless!

You know, every know and then a song comes along that can leave me with chills running up and down my arms and legs long after the song is over. It's been a LONG time since that has happened, but 'Jars' has broken the trend. I spent the whole of my shift at work last night, which consisted of me sitting in a truck for twelve hours, listening to our local radio station in hopes that it would play 'Jars'. I heard it once and immediately wanted to hear it again. Chevelle has done it again. You guys are truly among the elite of todays rockers.

The song is good, but I have to admit... there are others by the band I like way better. I'm really looking forward to the new album. The first two...literally changed my life. I used the music to help me refocus my life. I wasn't as impressed with the last one...it was good...but not as good as album number one or two (which I still listen to all the time), but listening to "Jars", while it may not be their best song...it's telling me the new album will be well worth the wait and have the same changing effect previous albums had. I hope to see the band when they are in Brookings at the end of the month.

First of all I would like to say that I've been calling radio stations requesting "Jars" so many times that I can't even count. What I really want to share though is that I've been having some crazy experiences. I mean this stuff has happened before but I'll just tell of my recent experieces. Last Thursday I was getting my stuff ready for the beach the next day, when I noticed my iPod charging on my dock. It was done so I took it off and had the random urge to flip to the radio setting. When I did, they started talking about Chevelle and then played "Jars"! It was the weirdest timing. Then a few days later I went to call my local radio station to request the song, but it was busy. Not a minute after hanging up, they played it. It was weird to because while I was listening to it my dad came in and went on his typical rant when I listen to Chevelle saying," He sounds like Maynard. They sound like Tool!" and each time we get in the same debate, because I believe there is an obvious difference. Then when "Jars" was over, they played Tool. That same day I was hanging out with my dad in the back yard. I had the intense urge to go back inside, but I thought I was just tired. I went in turned on the TV and one of the music channels I had on was playing "Jars". It's crazy!!!!!!!!

Saw you guys last night at Merriweather Post Pavilion. AMAZING as usual. The lineup was a little out of order needless to say... however, it was still a great show. Please, please, please come back to Ramshead Live soon! Baltimore loves you.
